Launch Of TCDA Policy And Communication Strategy

We are thrilled to share that the Ghana Private Sector Competitiveness Program II , in partnership with the Tree Crops Development Authority, has officially launched the TCDA Policy and Regulations Communication Strategy to promote the Tree Crops Development Authority Act, 2019 (Act 1010) and the Tree Crops Regulations, 2023 (LI 2471) 🎉🎉.

This launch and development of the strategy document 📑is just one of the numerous initiatives that #GPSCPII is backing TCDA with. The Strategy Document aims to facilitate communication, provide education, and raise public awareness regarding the tree crops regulations, serving as a catalyst for transforming Ghana’s tree crops subsector and the broader agricultural sector.

To celebrate this milestone, the Strategy Document was officially unveiled on Monday, July 28th, 2025, at the TCDA premises. The event was attended by the Honourable Minister for Trade, Agribusiness and Industry, Hon. Elizabeth Ofusu-Adjare, and the Honourable Deputy Minister for Food and Agriculture, Hon. John Dumelo. The Diplomatic Corps was represented by the Mexican Ambassador to Ghana, Her Excellency Norma Ang Sánchez, and the Malaysian Ambassador to Ghana, His Excellency Syed Nauzer Idid.

Our funders from SECO Economic Cooperation and Development  were represented by the Deputy Head of Mission/Head of Cooperation, Ms. Janine Walz, and the Private Sector Development Specialist, Charlotte Afudego, from the Swiss Embassy in Ghana. We were also honoured by the presence of the Omanhene of the Nkoransa Traditional Council, Nana Kwame Baffoe IV, who enriched the event with Ghanaian culture. Other attendees included Development Partners, Government agencies, and representatives from the Cashew, Oil Palm, Rubber, Coconut, Shea, and Mango Value Chain Associations 🌰🥭🥥🌴.

TCDA also used this opportunity to announce its maiden #investment fair, dubbed The Ghana Tree Crops Investment Fair 2025, scheduled to take place from 29th September to 3rd October 2025 at the Accra International Conference Centre. This flagship event has been strategically designed to spotlight the vast investment opportunities across Ghana’s tree crop value chains.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to SECO Economic Cooperation and Development for their unwavering support in enhancing the agricultural landscape in Ghana, to the TCDA team, the GPSCPII team, and the consultants who contributed to the development of the Strategy-Prof. Akwasi Mensah-Bonsu and his team.

    Ayekoo to us all 👏🏾.
